About Richard
Bio

Richard is the founder and CEO of DeskSite; he is responsible for brand strategy, market focus, and the product roadmap.

A lifelong technology entrepreneur, Richard dropped out of high school to launch his first software company.  In 1997, Richard conceived and built the world's first narrowband remote access system for day traders.  His technology was subsequently bought by ProTrader, which itself was bought by Instinet for $150 million shortly thereafter - principally for the technology.  Richard's entrepreneurial successes have led to numerous appearances on national television, ranging from CNBC to the X-Show.  He founded DeskSite on the premise that experiencing the Internet through a thick-client interface inherently offers superior content personalization, speed, and relevancy.

Born and raised in Georgia, Richard has been competitive at a national level in three different sports, and served with distinction in the US Marine Corps, setting several rifle range records.
