Full bio

Quint Slattery is the founder and CIO of Symmetry Peak Management, LLC (“SPM”), which was founded in June 2003.  SPM is a long/short equity fund focused on technology and emerging growth equities.  SPM employs a long term investment horizon, much like venture capital and private equity, while maintaining the public market benefits of liquidity, transparency and mark-to-market valuations.

From November of 2001 through October 2003, Mr. Slattery successfully managed a portion of his own money in a similar fashion to that which he has employed at SPM.   Prior to this period, Mr. Slattery was a co-founder and General Partner of Azure Capital Partners LLC (“Azure”), an investment firm with a crossover and venture capital fund.

Prior to his tenure at Azure, Mr. Slattery was the Portfolio Manager of two mutual funds at Pilgrim Baxter & Associates (PBHG): the PBHG New Opportunities Fund and PBHG Select Equity Fund.   He managed over $2.8 Billion.  Mr. Slattery co-managed the PBHG New Opportunities Fund (PBNOX) from its launch in June 1998 and became its sole manager in February 1999.   Mr. Slattery was named the "One Year Winner" in the Wall Street Journal for the fifty-two week performance of the New Opportunities Fund for the period ending March 30, 2000.  Additionally, Kiplinger's labeled the PBHG New Opportunities Fund "All-Time Champ" for its one-year performance, which, according to the magazine, was proclaimed by Morningstar to be "the highest one-year total return in fund history."

Mr. Slattery began his career in Merrill Lynch’s Investment Banking business in 1996.  He graduated with an A.B.  degree from Princeton University, where he also was a member of the 1992 Princeton University National Championship Lacrosse Team.  Mr. Slattery is a member of Tiger Inn at Princeton University.
