Two words: Education Technology. As an educator the past two and a half years, I see the potential for massive innovation in this space. I want in. Ultimately, education is the backbone of our country's economy. It is critical that we find ways to help all students learn and not make excuses for dismissed potential. While putting the best teachers in the classroom helps, I personally think advancing technology to help teachers teach / help students learn more effectively will make even more of an impact in reducing the achievement gap. Full bio

I graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a B.B.A. in finance in May 2007.  After graduating from Notre Dame, I worked as an investment banking analyst both at J.P. Morgan and Houlihan Lokey.  After spending time in the financial world, I decided to join Teach For America (TFA) in 2009 because of the organization's mission.  As a TFA corps member, I taught secondary mathematics in Saint Louis Public Schools.  After TFA, I joined an investment banking training company and in my current role, I provide investment banking training to undergraduates, business school students, and working professionals.

In my spare time, I enjoy rock climbing, playing soccer, reading, and working with nonprofits.  I am currently on the Steering Committee of the Young Professionals Board for Breakthrough Cambridge (formerly Summerbridge) in Cambridge, MA.  I am also an active volunteer with Habitat for Humanity.

During my professional career, I obtained my series 7 and 63 licenses.  I am currently a candidate for the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) charter.
