I am a(n):

Entrepreneur

If you're an entrepreneur or corporate innovator, why?

I want to be at the forefront of defining persistent new media experiences.

My favorite startups:

Twitter, Dropbox, GroupOn, Pandora, Tumblr, Square, Zynga

What's most frustrating and rewarding about entrepreneurship/innovation?

Most Frustrating: Time... It always seems to go faster when you dont want it to, and slows down to a crawl when you're awaiting a certain date.

Most Rewarding: Seeing your idea shape int reality, and along the way watching it become more than you had hoped for.

What's the No. 1 mistake entrepreneurs/innovators make?

Being naive about the time, money, and resources needed to get things done. Everything always takes 2-3 times as long as you think it will, costs about 2-3 times as much, and you never have enough resources.

What are the top three lessons you've learned as an entrepreneur?

Know your space better than anyone: when something pops up that was unexpected (and it will), you can make decisions quickly and with confidence.

Beware of false positives: Stay the course on your plan, making minor adjustments only as needed. Don't allow opportunities that don't fit into the plan to distract you from your goal.

Believe in yourself, your company, and your coworkers: The respect and energy will become infectious, and will spread far beyond your four tiny walls.
