The day after I received my Bachelor's in Sociology, I moved to Florida to pursue a career in social work and a new life adventure. Working with disabled adults gave me an appreciation for health and wellness and respect for their daily challenges. My clients inspired me to never give up and to remember that the small things you do for others make a difference in their life. My next adventure teaching English in Japan broadened my world. My interactions with the Japanese school children, their parents, school administrators, my colleagues and the friends I met from all over the world, taught me that respect, trust and kindness are universal values. Armed with interpersonal skills and confidence, I started my HR career in recruiting. I have since gained a broad range of both tactical and strategic experience in all HR areas including talent acquisition, payroll, benefits, performance management, talent development, compliance, communications and employee relations. I skillfully balance the demands of being a strategic HR partner and HR taskmaster and my colleagues appreciate my ability to listen and help them find solutions. I have worked for small, medium and large companies in various industries. My sweet spot is working with growth oriented companies that care about the company culture and helping them find the right talent to engage and develop. By bringing my passion and enthusiasm to work, I have learned new things and am excited to continue building on those experiences. My career in Human Resources gives me the satisfaction of helping people in an environment where I can also help grow and move a business forward.
