Mr. Albukerk is the Managing Partner of EB Financial Group, LLC.  For the past 20 years Mr. Albukerk founded, managed and invested in multiple venture-backed companies. In 1999, Mr. Albukerk pioneered the concept of private company exchange funds as a means to achieve diversification and liquidity of highly concentrated, illiquid private stock.  He has also advised dozens of entrepreneurs on secondary and other financing transactions totaling over $100 million.  Most recently, Larry created two Special Purpose Entities (“SPEs”) which had four closings on nearly 1 million Facebook shares. 

Outside of EB Financial Group, Mr. Albukerk serves as an advisor to the X Prize Foundation on matters of private equity donations.  He is also the inventor and/or owner of several U.S. patents.  Mr. Albukerk is a frequent lecturer and recognized expert on topics including Founder Liquidity and Start-up Capital Structure.

Before founding EB Financial Group, Larry’s experience included:

  • Founder: 3 VC-backed companies since 1993;
  • Investor: In over a dozen companies, angel, and secondary;
  • Executive: CEO, Board member, and executive of several VC-backed companies;
  • Inventor: Invented, bought, sold, licensed and litigated patent portfolios.

Mr. Albukerk earned an MBA in 1992 from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, and a BSBA from Washington University, St. Louis, Missouri. Larry lives in San Francisco with his wife, two daughters and son.
