Kerry Ritz is CEO of Palringo, provider of the first service that extends the messaging functionality of PC-based services to mobile phones and PDAs, regardless of operating system, network or mobile operator. As CEO, Kerry’s focus is on revolutionising mobile communications by developing a richer communications experience.
Prior to joining Palringo in March 2008, he was the first President of Vonage UK, the leading player in Voice over IP (VoIP).
Kerry was the first director of customer strategy at 3 (Hutchison 3G), which he joined in April 2000. He was at the heart of the pioneering thinking around convergence of the Internet, telecoms and media, and the creation of a new mobile world that must deal with issues of convergence, open access, mobile advertising and social networking. At various points, Kerry was responsible for strategy, device development, media and content strategy, and usability.
Prior to arriving in London in 1989, Kerry worked in Paris for Finnish multinational Huhtamaki and in Toronto for Kraft General Foods and retailer Loblaws. Between 1989-2000, he worked as a strategy consultant for a number of leading UK firms specialising in emerging markets including India, Russia, China, Brazil and Indonesia.
He is a well-known speaker and panelist at conferences and events around the world and has advised a range of start-ups in the communications and online space. He has also been a non-executive director of the European Competitive Telecommunications Association (ECTA).
Kerry has an MBA from IMD in Lausanne, Switzerland, and a bachelor of laws degree from Birkbeck College, University of London.
