The most frustrating thing is the chicken egg problem that seems to come up on nearly a daily basis. The most rewarding thing is getting good feedback and having people enjoy using your product.
The biggest mistake is falling in love with a product they think people want to use instead of making sure they build a product people actually use.
1. Everything takes longer then you think.
2. Be sure to surround yourself not only with smart people but more importantly different types of people so you can get feedback from many different perspectives.
3. If you're a solo founder, make sure you have good support from family and friends.
