Underestimate the fundraising process.

What are the top three lessons you've learned as an entrepreneur?

1. Make sure your deck, business plan and financial plan all work together and presented in the proper fashion to your specific target investor. In other words, the deck sent to a VC is different from one sent to an Angel.
2. If you're going to do something, do it now.
3. File for patents.
