professional background.  He grew up in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin where his long  list of academic achievements begins.  There he earned “Outstanding Achievement and Excellence” in all classes. He also placed first in the City Spelling Bee.  After high school, Yu attended the University of California at Berkeley, where he  attained his B.A. in Political Science and graduated with honors and Dean’s List

recognition. After receiving his undergraduate degree, Yu attended the University

of Washington’s School of Law.  Yu was very active in Seattle where he participated

in many academic fraternities and speech/debate tournaments, while gaining

As a Senior Associate at KPMG, Yu works directly with clients to ensure they have

complex issues, including reverse like-kind exchanges, liquidating distributions

of hot assets, sales of non-regulated foreign currencies, and hypothetical tax

calculations involving stock option planning for clients.

When he isn’t working, Jerry spends his time working for charitable causes.  He

volunteers at the Santa Clara Valley Humane Society and the Children’s Discovery

Museum.  He also works closely with the Tianjin Institute for Rehabilitation of

Disabled Orphans, where he is the Director and Executive Coordinator of the Charity

Christmas Concert.  He has also tutored students for the SATs and played the piano
