I am a(n):

First-time entrepreneur

If you're an entrepreneur or corporate innovator, why?

I want to change the world.

My favorite startups:

Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, MyThaideals

What's most frustrating and rewarding about entrepreneurship/innovation?

The most frustrating point is that you can't convince anyone. It's also to think that all the people you know will support you because you launch something. You need to convince the mass, not your friends.

What's the No. 1 mistake entrepreneurs/innovators make?

Putting efforts in the wrong direction, not writing their business plan

What are the top three lessons you've learned as an entrepreneur?

1)References - Customers and Partners you must be 100% sure of them
2)Keep your motivation up, if your project is good never forget what you have achieved the day before, keep aware of the market and know how to be flexible with new technologies and things changing since the date you launched the project
3)Read - Keep posted on new articles, blogs, know what's going on in the world and the region or locality where you are launching your business

Full bio

Bit by the bug of traveling since he was legally able to travel on his own, Jean has visited, stayed, toured, worked and lived in more than 40 countries around the world.

International vision and a feeling that the world is his backyard have enable him to enrich all his working efforts. From extended internships to overseas consulting missions he has nurtured his Software design background with experience on the most diverse projects such as ERP projects to Business Analyst in Finance projects in Paris and Singapore.

Three years ago he left a “juicy” pay-check for the wonders of Social Media Marketing. With his corporate experience and his technological understanding, he finally felt that all the “tools” on the internet had arrived for him to take over the world.

His ability to think big without forgetting the “small everyday” details make him a heavy weight. Endless passion, creativity and pro-activeness make him an invaluable partner in Social Media Marketing Business. We wish we could get 10 like him, but unfortunately this kind of guy is not factory produced.

Jean Charles is a French Expatriate, Singapore PEP Owner living in Thailand, Bangkok.
