If you're an entrepreneur or corporate innovator, why?

I'm bursting with ideas!

My favorite startups:

Snapchat, Tesla, SpaceX, Uber

What's most frustrating and rewarding about entrepreneurship/innovation?

Most rewarding: At the risk of sounding corny, I get to create the future every single day. My routine is working on something new every day of every week of every month. Best of all, when it all comes together, a problem gets solved for many many people. Case in point, CUJO protects people against home hackers.

Frustrating? Listening to all of the people who say that we you want to do is impossible.

What's the No. 1 mistake entrepreneurs/innovators make?

The worst thing that any entrepreneur can do is to believe that 'sales are everything'. Investors often tell you 'all we care about is top-line sales'. Build aggressively, but build a sustainable business.

What are the top three lessons you've learned as an entrepreneur?

- Focus on Gross Profit
- Hire people who will tell you what to do, not the other way around
- Customers vote with their wallets, listen to them.
