Can't help it.
The United States. (It doesn't have to be recent, does it?)
(1) Frustrating - The poor geographical distribution of knowledge and resources in US required to foster innovation.
(2) Rewarding - Knowing I'm right.
Believing their own hype.
Listen carefully to everything and everyone - look for clues.
Evaluate and re-evaluate everything you know, or thought you knew.
Never give up.
Donald Missey is from a Chicago family of printers and engineers. He has founded the Pedalectric Vehicle Corporation in Denver Colorado to develop, manufacture and sell 4 wheel vehicles based on ultra light materials usually found in contemporary aircraft design. Using the design goal of building vehicles that are light enough to pedal, energy source agnostic, form factored into alignment with 21st century computer industry practices, and easy to iterate in days and hours, bot years and decades.
Pedalectric's 2 person, side by side human-electric and human-engine hybrids are inexpensive to buy and fun to ride. Pedalectrics are currently designed to meet the US Department of Transportation's FMVSS 500 for Low Speed Vehicles. Vehicles have a curb weight of less than 250 kg., and accept batteries, 49cc natural gas and ethanol engines, and are designed to accept a wide variety of of electronic built in components.
