Dimitri Villard began his career in entertainment as a founder of the memorable R&B label Jet Set Records, later becoming an investment banker and entrepreneur in media, pioneering the pay TV industry. He has produced a number of motion pictures, including Once Bitten, Flight of the Navigator and In Love And War. He has been CEO of ArtistDIRECT and Peer Media Technologies; he also co-founded and is CEO of Pivotal BioSciences, a spinout of the USC Keck School of Medicine that is developing a novel immunotherapy for the treatment of cancer. Dimitri is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the Harvard Business School Angels and the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles Tech Coast Angels where he has originated and led investments and mentored early stage high technology ventures. A Mentor at the Founder Institute, Dimitri is also a member of the Board of Directors of several public companies, including The Grilled Cheese Truck Company and Staffing 360. Dimitri graduated with a B.A. from Harvard University and has a M.S. from China International Medical University.
