I love raising my 4 year old, being married to my wonderful wife Sandra and enjoying life. Having had some close calls in life I realize it's your footprint not your bank account that matters.

I am a born and raised New York City Boy living living in Los Angeles since 1990. I love start ups and competition in general. My background has been primarily in film and TV and then several years ago I began focusing on the aging marketplace as a new opportunity. This is my fifth start up. Quote_down

I am a(n):

Entrepreneur

If you're an entrepreneur or corporate innovator, why?

I love to think up a "baby" and then one day watch it walk & talk. It's a drug!!

My favorite startups:

Google.com

What's most frustrating and rewarding about entrepreneurship/innovation?

people think it happens overnight. The world is filled with overnight millionaires who toiled in obscurity for years eating leftovers.

What's the No. 1 mistake entrepreneurs/innovators make?

They don't vet their project and become too emotionally attached.

What are the top three lessons you've learned as an entrepreneur?

Cut quickly and mercilessly when the Sh$t hits the fan. Employee will be there when they are getting a check. But don't expect one ounce of dedication or loyalty even if they own stock when they are not receiving that check. Never under estimate the power of people to think small and bash your project for sport.

5/8 – Present

Founder & CEO

I co-created a branded personality (think Martha Stewart) in the elder care space to help guide 77 million aging baby boomers through the coming caregiving crisis for the next 20 years.   I took a well respected Ph.D. gerontologist from NYC and through an understanding of the media and production I created a now nationally recognized expert who is regularly featured on the Today Show, Fox n Friends, Brian Williams and 100’s of smaller electronic, radio and print outlets across America.  Dr. Marion is now the voice and face of the long term care industry representing such storied brands as Prudential, John Hancock and Mutual of Omaha among others.  Through the production of a book, extensive web site, various first to market elder care software programs, online certification programs and a variety of web-based materials like a downloadable Home Safety PDF Dr. Marion is the go to personality in this space.  We recently produced the first ever TV pilot in the space and I have a created and directed 160 radio PSA’s, 2 iPhone App’s. and a syndicated article series currently read monthly by over 8,000,000 people monthly called “Ask Dr. Marion”.
