If you are an entrepreneur, why?

Serendipitously fell into it...

My favorite startups:

Scribd, Linkedin and Kimtag

What's most frustrating and rewarding about entrepreneurship/innovation?

(1) The weight of risk (real or hidden)
(2) The depth of personal satisfaction that emanates from success

What's the No. 1 mistake entrepreneurs make?

To easy to get spread to thin (caught up in too much detail) -- failure to delegate

What are the top three lessons you've learned as an entrepreneur?

(1) Some people thrive working for themselves and/or in a position of control While others are better off working for others or as part of a team;
(2) Stay on top of your market -- don't get so caught up in your own endeavor that you lose sight of your place in the market;
(3) At some point, you must seek outside financing in order to grow the company at a pace that allows your to keep up with the constant change in your market technology;
(4) Force yourself to NEVER stop learning -- seek knowledge constantly
(5) Be humble and ALWAYS respectful of others -- don't burn bridges that don't require burning (regardless of the nature of the bridge, good or bad).

What are the most important attributes of being a potentially successful entrepreneur?

Knowledge, self confidence or burning belief in your plan, ability to articulate your idea, discipline and organization.
