Anand Jagannathan is the Founder/CEO of NewzSocial Corp, a Silicon Valley company offering platforms and application solutions for social news curation and information distribution.

NewzSocial (www.newzsocial.com) has launched a Social Curation Magazine for the iPad , which is available in the Apple App Store.  NewzSocial helps consumers follow, create and share broad and niche news streams on their topics of interest. The iPad app has unique social curation features using which users can tap into their network of ‘topic expert’ friends and get the news they want selected by the experts they trust.

Anand is an experienced start-up CEO, founder and technologist who has successfully founded and launched five companies – NewzSocial, Responsys (Nasdaq - MKTG), iStorez (sold to TheFind), Reach Software and Banyan Systems (IPO in 1991 – BNYN, EPRE, SWBD).

Anand has three core technology patents. The first two are on microprocessor architectures and another is on graphical UI element design.

Anand has a Ph.D. and M.S. in Computer Science from Rice University (Houston, Texas) and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Kanpur, India).
