Rebecca Weeks Watson is one of the top influencers and thought leaders in the interactive media industry. She is the VP of business development at gWallet, a next-generation ad platform for social media publishers. Previously, she led Business Development for Real Girls Media Network, Inc., which owns and operates DivineCaroline.com. She co-founded the company’s Ad Network and launched it with several Fortune 100 advertisers. Prior to Real Girls Media, Rebecca was content director at iMedia Communications, the premier publisher and events producer for digital marketing and media professionals. She has contributed over 80 articles on trends and best practices in the interactive media industry. Prior to iMedia, she worked as an investment banking analyst at Robertson Stephens.
Rebecca played varsity tennis at the University of Virginia and graduated fifth in her class from the McIntire School of Commerce.

  • Hey Jason -- These stereotypes are dead-on and I can relate. I lived in Santa Monica for 5 years and now run a women's media network in San Francisco. The one benefit of being in the Bay Area that you forgot to mention is the free support from the entrepreneurial community that fosters risk-taking -- almost every night there's a social event, seminar, group discussion, or company meet-and-greet.
