About Brian
Bio

A native of the Pacific Northwest, I took electronics classes at the local community college while still in high school and starte work as an electronics technician at Sundstrand Data Control the day after I graduated. After working for nearly a decade as an electronics and avionics technician I was promoted to the position of Product Engineer at TriQuint Semiconductor and later received a BS in Electrical Engineering. As a Product and Test Engineer, a significant part of my job was writing computer programs for semiconductor test systems. I found that I really enjoyed programming and eventually went to work for Axian Inc. as a software Engineer. Currently, I'm doing freelance software development in the Eugene/springfield oregon area.

  • Hi Steve, Thanks for offering to take some time to help a new Entrepreneur with a startup. I'm in the very early stages of figuring out a business model for an eLearning company. Are your four slots full yet? I would love to bounce some questions and ideas off of you. Here's a little about my startup: At this time I'm preparing to provide training and support to users of moodle, an open source Course Management System (www.moodle.org). In the future, I want to start developing software that works with or along side of moodle. I'm feel quite confident about my technical skills, but I have lots of questions about how to build a business. If you still have some bandwidth available for answering questions I'll send a few in your direction.
