For serious, I don’t know how people bought houses before the Internet. When I bought my house, I filled out so much paperwork that I really wouldn’t have been the least bit surprised if the lender also asked for a pap smear. The process of signing my soul over to Bank of America in exchange for a house took up ...

While 57% would use on themselves, only 46% would let their kids get in one

A few months ago I wrote about some of the most interesting gadgets to come out of the Internet of Things, a network of devices that are connected via sensors to maximize the potential of each object. One new invention that caught my eye was the driverless car. For those who can't afford a limo driver, the idea of being able ...

The millenial generation, also known as Generation Y, consists, at least by some, of those born between 1982 and 1993. These are adults from 21 years old to 33. The older Gen Y population didn't grow up with cell phones or the Internet, but by the time they were in their mid-teens, cell phones were small enough to carry ...

Social network bans profiles of prostitutes and escorts, even in countries where it is legal

Back when I was in college, when my friends and I were bored we would sometimes check out the "adult services" ads on Craigslist and send each other the raunchiest/funniest ones we could find. I freely admit that it was pretty immature, but it was still incredibly funny, partially because the idea of trying to find someone to hook up ...

A perception that was reinforced when Yahoo's acquisition of DailyMotion fell apart because of meddling by the government. And now France is thinking of going ahead and pulling a move ...
