Advanced StatisticsVimeo has just launched an analytics suite called 'Advanced Statistics,' which gives paying Plus members on the site a new tool to track exactly all the latest data on their videos, "broken down by date range, geography, and embed location."

With the new analytics, users have access to a visual and numerical views of all the most important statistics: video loads and plays (organized by geography and/or by Web site), playback quality of the video, how many users actually watch to the end of the video, how many users like a video, how many users comment on a video, and how many users download a video.

Also, any of this data can be exported to a spreadsheet.

"Better analytics has been one of the most requested features of all time," said Andrew Pile, Vice President of Product and Development.  "We wanted to give our Plus members detailed insight in a clean, easy-to-use format."

The new suite is only available to Plus members, who pay either $60 per year or $10 per month for an ad-free account that includes more customization and privacy features, unlimited HD uploading, and HD embedding.

Vimeo has increasingly proven itself to be worthy competition for YouTube, which is still the most popularly used online video site. Besides 'Statistics,' Vimeo has been hard at work rolling out a mobile version of the site, 1080p HD video, an HTML5 video player, and other interface tweaks to the site in general.

With 'Statistics,' however, Vimeo has just reached an important milestone. Users serious about getting lots of views either for artistic or business endeavors now have a tool at their disposal essential to attaining success with Web video.
