Today, Magnify.net is releasing new features that will improve social networks and video sharing by providing new tools to gain a richer experience for its site owners. This New York based social video site lets their customers add video channels to their websites. They currently have more than 40,000 sites using their servcies.

The new tool offers a bigger variety of online video supply. Collecting and organizing videos from a plethora of sources provide destination sites with the option to create a mix of content and focus on video collections. The new video sites are MySpace, Hulu, Vimeo, College Humor, Howcast, and MTV Overdrive.

Magnify.net has more than doubled the speed of its Automatic Video Discovery (AVD) service, giving users the opyion to search 15 hosting services in an extremely short amount of time. The new search speed of AVD allows the rate of new videos added to Magnify to grow to a million items per week.

Magnify's CEO Steve Rosenbaum stated, "We think aggregation is an exciting and fast growing space. However, aggregation without a personal touch, curation only causes frustration and disappointment for users looking for useful and contextual video."

To expedite the process of video collecting, the New York startup has also improved the search functionality within each channel by giving each user the option to rate, date, and go over the scores. Search results can be exported as RSS feeds, enabling access from third-party feed readers and closer integration with customers' other web sites. The AVD functionally also schedules daily or weekly searches for videos to be added to each member's channels.
