In a recent CNBC interview with Marissa Mayer, Google's VP of Search Products and User Experience a question arose from one of the interviewers which was "Do you want to Replace IE?", which I personally believe was such a lame question as there was no mention of Mozilla Firefox which is Chrome's first challenge and realistically as we all know their only challenge to being the most used Web browser.

Mayer of Google did not confirm this question with a "Yes" or a "No" response, which I think in fairness was justified based on my previous point, she however did answer with a very positive message of how Google is advancing the Web Browser and expanding everyone's perception of how the Web should be used, personally I think Chrome has got a way to go, but has made a positive start.

This whole notion she was trying to throw at the CNBC audience of "Javascript" changes and UI changes probably didn't bode too well either , it certainly appeared to catch out the hosts who unwittingly started talking about general Google features such as "Google Suggest" as a way to help tone down the conversation to a more general level which almost turned into idle chit-chat at one point.

I have nothing but the highest of praise for Marissa Mayer, she has become a very inspirational part of the Google team and continues to provide fantastic innovative products for the company, here is a video of her speaking at Stanford University which can justify entirely why she is such a great member of the Google team:
