In this second part of our interview with Eileen Gittins, founder and CEO of the online publishing service Blurb, she talks about why the traditional publishing industry is working with her company rather than trying to squash it.

The publishing industry, according to Gittins, learned from the mistakes that the music industry made in fighting and ultimately bringing down the first iteration of Napster, which the record labels viewed only as a threat.

By contrast, big book publishers "view us as an extension of their business," says Gittins. "We're changing the idea of what a book is," she says.
