Kourosh Karimkhany, head of corporate development for Conde.net, tells Vator.tv's Bambi Francisco in this interview how the takeover battle that Microsoft is waging for Yahoo might affect the merger landscape for online media properties.

Given that both companies were frequent acquirers of startups, their acquisition drama could remove two rival buyers from the marketplace, Karimkhany says.

"It may make things easier for people like me," says Karimkhany, who formerly ran several Yahoo sites and last year engineered the repurchase by Conde Nast of its online properties
