June.ai: June.ai operates as a communication hub that replaces email. New York based company has raised $1.5 million in the bank from a group of strategic investors including John Suh, CEO of LegalZoom, and Marc Michel of Runaway Venture Partners. Read more

Papa Technologies: Papa is a platform that connects college students to senior citizens for companionship and assistance. Miami based mobile app startup that connects college students with adults over age 60 who need support and companionship, has raised a $2.4 million round led by Initialized Capital, with participation from Sound Ventures. Paladin Cyber: Paladin Cyber is a cyber security company on a mission to protect your businesses against cyber attacks. A year-old, San Francisco-based cybersecurity company that targets medium and small businesses, has raised $3.6 million in seed funding led by Lightbank. Other backers in the round include Aquiline Technology Growth, Haystack, Argo Ventures, Clocktower Technology Ventures, Ground Up Ventures, Hemi Ventures, Sutardja Ventures and Y Combinator. Two-year-old, New York-based company has raised a $5 million Series A round led by Alliance Ventures, with participation from Trucks, Urban.Us and DB Digital Ventures. Read more

Qordoba: The Qordoba Strings Intelligence Platform enables product teams to create compelling user experiences by managing all of the words in their products. Five-year-old, San Francisco-based UX content management platform, has raised $11.5 million in Series B funding led by Aspect Ventures. Other participants in the round include Upfront Ventures, Rincon Ventures, Broadway Angels and Michael Stoppelman, the co-founder of Yelp. Read more

CardiaLen: CardiaLen develops and commercializes pain-free cardioversion therapies for atrial fibrillation. 10-year-old, Minneapolis, Mn.-based company raised $17 million in Series B funding led by RiverVest Venture Partners, with participation from Qiming Venture Partners, HBM Healthcare Investments and Cultivation Capital. St. Louis Park, Mn.-based software-as-a-service startup focused on helping regulated financial organizations market their services with running into trouble, just raised $20 million in Series B funding. Chicago-based distributor of digital course materials for higher education, just raised $25 million in Series C funding led by DNS Capital. Read more

Mission Secure: MSi is a seasoned team of cyber security, control system, combat and business experts committed to protecting critical physical assets, and the control systems that monitor and operate them. Four-year-old, Charlottesville, Va.-based control system cybersecurity company, has raised an undisclosed amount of Series A funding led by Energy Innovation Capital and Chevron Technology Ventures. Their AI assistant Alex takes care of calendaring and coordinating, buying time for your talent team to focus on other challenging tasks. My Ally has raised an undisclosed amount of Series A funding led by Storm Ventures, with participation from Eileses Capital, Firebolt Ventures and renowned investor-operator Gokul Rajaram.

VitaCup: VitaCup makes Vitamin-infused coffee and tea pods charged with a blend of essential vitamins and premium ingredients that never sacrifice taste. A year-old, San Diego, Ca.-based maker of single-serve coffee and tea products, has raised an undisclosed amount of funding, including from North Castle Partners and First Beverage Ventures.
