Palantir Technologies raised $880M; Rowheels raised $1.5M; HomeTouch secured funding

  • HomeTouch, an online platform to find vetted and experienced home carers, has secured investment financing from one of London’s leading venture capital firms, Passion CapitalThe funding will accelerate HomeTouch’s expansion across London, increase the number of vetted carers on its platform into the thousands and expand its range of features which already improve choice, transparency and efficiency of finding high quality, affordable home care.

  • Rowheels, Inc., a Fitchburg, WI-based developer of reverse propulsion wheel technology for manual wheelchair users, raised $1.5 million in fundingThe round was led by strategic operating capital fund WISC Partners. David Guinther, a General Partner at WISC Partners, who will be joining Rowheels’ Board of Directors, in conjunction with the funding. The company will use the funds to advance the commercialization of its reverse propulsion wheel technology.

  • Palantir Technologies, a data analytics and security company that helps government agencies track down terrorists and uncover financial fraud, said on Wednesday it has raised $880 million in its latest financing roundEarlier this month, the Palo Alto, California-based company reported that the funding round, which started in July, had raised $679.8 million. Wednesday’s filing indicates it raised an additional $200 million in just weeks.
