We’re always proud to share good news about finalists at our Splash events.
This summer, Plug.dj was one of the top 10 finalists at our Splash LA competition. The startup just revealed that it’s raised $1.25 million in funding, led by Javelin Venture Partners. The LA-based company, which was founded in February 2012, allows users to curate content while allowing others to discover it. Much like Turntable.fm, Plug.dj lets users go to different rooms to experience music and video collections collected by other users.
The company now has several million users across 190 different countries, with an average user spending more than an hour on the site.
