Today's Entrepreneur is Kevin Cimring, CEO of Jemstep. Jemstep is a free online investment service that takes the complexity out of making investment decisions by using technology to evaluate and identify your best options, helping you achieve success and reach your financial goals.

According to his VEQ, Kevin is good at fund raising, finance management and negotiation.

Vator’s community is the home to entrepreneurs who embrace their passion and follow their dreams. Our profiles allow members to express themselves by sharing their interests, lessons learned, as well as bits and pieces of their roller-coaster journey.

I am a(n):
Entrepreneur

Companies I've founded or co-founded:
Bridgeway, Jemstep

Startups I worked for:
bridgeway, jemstep

If you are an entrepreneur, why?
Love starting and creating impactful new businesses that address a real need. I enjoy the early stages of a company - they are often the most dynamic, creative and fun, although they can be the most difficult also.

My favorite startups:
zendesk, splunk, instagram, quora

What's most frustrating and rewarding about entrepreneurship/innovation?
I want it designed, developed and deployed today. It can't be designed, developed and deployed today.

What's the No. 1 mistake entrepreneurs make?
Too often I have seen entrepreneurs jump into a product without having done sufficient market research and planning. Doing upfront research on demand, competitors, scaleability etc is critical but often not implemented amidst all the enthusiasm for a new idea.

What are the top three lessons you've learned as an entrepreneur?
Persist, persist, persist
