Facebook bringing deeper integration to mobile in 2011; Google launches One Pass for publishers

1000Memories raised $2.5 milllion from Greylock Partners and a long list of prominent angel investors.

A report from Bernstein Research predicts that a lower priced iPhone will expand Apple's addressable market six-fold while more than doubling revenue. 

 

Social games developer Ayeah Games raised $530,000 in seed funding, according to an SEC filing. Investors have not yet been disclosed by the company, but reports say CommonAngels and LaunchCapital contributed to the round.

CashStar, a digital gifting and incentives company, closed a $5 million round of funding led by Passport Capital with Allen & Company participating.

Catch.com raised $7 million in Series A funding led by Excel Venture Management.

 

Constant Contact, a marketing advisor to more than 400,000 small organizations, today acquired Bantam Live, a contact management and social CRM provider owned and operated by privately held Bantam Networks, for $15 million.

 

Paperless billing platform Doxo has raised a $10 million Series B round led by Sigma Partners, with participation from previous investors Mohr Davidow and Bezos Expeditions.

Facebook announced that four upcoming Android devices--two from INQ and two from HTC--will offer deeper integration with the social service than we’ve seen on other mobile devices.

Google launched Google One Pass, a payment system that enables publishers to charge consumers for articles and other content.

Javelin Venture Partners, a three-year-old early-stage VC based in San Francisco, raised $105 million for its Javelin Venture Partners II fund.

 

Personera, a platform that creates personalized digital/print products for Facebook users, closed a $1.4 million Series A round from Hasso Plattner Ventures Africa.

Online marketing solutions provider ReachLocal acquired rising Groupon clone DealOn. The deal was sealed for $10 million and provides LocalReach with a turnkey daily deals business in 18 U.S. markets.

 

Singly, a startup "building things for people, not just users," raised $1.6 million.

 

 

 

Soladigm secured an additional $10 million from The Westly Group and Navitas Capital for a Series C round totaling $40 million.

 

ThingWorx completed a $5 million Series B financing round led by Safeguard Scientifics, Inc.

Just one week after UberMedia snapped up Tweetdeck for a reported $30 million, the company, started by Internet pioneer Bill Gross, has armed itself with $17.5 million in a round led by Accel Partners.

The featured entrepreneur is Darryl Ballantyne, founder and CEO of LyricFind and AdProject.
