The thrill is gone

Emaciation is not sexy

As I sit here in an unnamed coffee shop I begin to hear the opening notes of this enigmatic song. It is as if time stood still and I was back in 1951 (I was actually born in 73). Can this song actually hold true for the Technology industry? With a heavy note of bravado in my voice I say yes! Gone are the days  of overspending to secure the latest and greatest in Technowazzits and dowhatisits. These days it is hard enough to get a CIO to approve $.99 CD cases. Yes my friends the honeymoon is over. We have settled in to the era of boring almost ennui systems management. This is not a bad thing. This buttoned down approach has allowed the "best of the best of the best sir" in IT services to shine. I admit our Techshare v1.5 product isn't sexy or even flashy. It is the meat and potatoes of IT department management applications. But if you needed to survive in a frozen tundra what would you rather have, Leek soup or meat and potatoes? Remember, emaciation is not sexy.
