Gary Wang recently chatted with me at a coffee shop in a major Beijing shopping mall about how he's ramping up his YouTube video sharing site of China, named Tudou or "couch potato" in Chinese. Gary faces government censorship and struggles to keep up with bandwidth demands for streaming all those clips. Plus, it has LOTS of competitors, among them Youku. Both Tudou and Youku have venture capital from Sand Hill Road investors. To be "in the know" about other leading Chinese entrepreneurs, check out my book, Silicon Dragon (McGraw-Hill, 2008) at www.rebeccafannin.com.
