StopLight raised $3.25M; Tiny raised $4M; Lingokids raised $6M; Arcadia Data raised $15M

StopLight: StopLight is an online platform that helps developers build, test, and improve their web APIs. StopLight has raised $3.25 million in seed funding led by Bill Wood Ventures (Wood earlier cofounded Austin Ventures and founded Silverton Partners). Other participants in the round include NextGen Venture Partners, Next Coast Ventures, Social Starts, and Capital Factory. Read more »

Tiny: TinyMCE is an open source JavaScript library that developers embed in their applications. It is similar to an online word processor that enables rich content to be created in applications like WordPress, LinkedIn, Tumblr, Evernote, Joomla and more. Tiny has raised $4 million in funding led by BlueRun Ventures. Read more »

Lingokids: Lingokids develops English language learning application for children. It offers 350 activities in the form of mini games, videos, audiobooks, and writing exercises covering English and Chinese. Lingokids has raised $6 million in Series A funding led by Holtzbrinck Ventures, with participation from JME VC, Sabadell Ventures, Big Sur Ventures and Gwynne Shotwell.  Read more »

Arcadia Data: Arcadia Data builds the industry’s only Unified Visual Analytics and BI Platform for big data. Arcadia Data has raised $15 million in Series B funding led by Pelion Venture Partners, with participation from earlier backers Intel Capital, Mayfield and Blumberg Capital. Read more »

Cover: Cover is an Android and iOS mobile application that allows its users to insure anything by taking a picture of what they need to insure. Cover has raised $16 million in Series B funding led by Tribe Capital’s Arjun Sethi, who'd led the company's Series A round while part of Social Capital (he left this past summer). Other backers in the financing include Y Combinator, Social Capital, Exor and Samsung. Read more »

Foursquare: Foursquare is a technology company that enriches consumer experiences & informs business decisions through a deep understanding of location. Foursquare has closed on $25 million as part of a Series F round that is expected to close with $33 million. Read more »

HEED: HEED is a new consumer platform that is transforming the sports and entertainment experience. Using Internet of Things analytics and artificial intelligence, HEED delivers real-time stories, unique insights and a new way to visualize and engage with live events. HEED as raised $35 million led by SoftBank Group International. Read more »
