Startup competitions are a great resource, not only for those looking for startups, but for startups themselves.

Vator has been holding its own competitions, using VatorX, a repository of hundreds of startup competitions and challenges around the world to find and filter for the best startups.

Our list is being updated constantly with new competitions, as deadlines pass. Here are some of the ones that are going to expire soon, so enter while you still can!

 

Deadline - April 17

Location - Redwood City

"The Intel Education Accelerator Program seeks out start-up companies who share our passion for educational excellence. Each year we work with a number of eligible Edtech companies to help them grow from initial funding and working beta product to become a transformative company striving to change education for student success. The program provides selected companies with the opportunity to receive guidance and insights from technology, business and education experts; leverage Intel’s global reach and relationships across more than 100 countries; and secure investments of up to $100,000 from Intel Capital."

Location - London

Categories - Internet of Things (IoT), connected devices, accelerator

"Startupbootcamp IoT | Connected Devices is a dedicated accelerator for startups working on a smart connected device within both Consumer IoT (wearables, assisted living, connected homes) and Industrial IoT (smart environment, smart factories and smart retail). We provide funding, mentorship, office space in London and access to a global network of corporate partners, mentors, investors and VCs, for up to 10 selected Internet of Things (IoT) startups across the globe in a three month program. During these three months, and beyond, our aim is to help startups secure further funding in their business from London’s thriving investment scene."

It provides an exemplary platform for emerging startups to step to the fore and grow. Conquest does not cater to veterans! We seek garden fresh ideas that not only change the way we live but also the way we think. Location - Detroit Greater Detroit Area

Categories - demo Startup idea

Criteria -  Detroit-based or willing to relocate business to Detroit.

"At Quicken Loans Detroit Demo Day, entrepreneurs from various industries will compete for funding by way of pitch or demonstration. Demo days aren’t just for tech companies anymore. Whether it's a restaurant, retail store, or online business, companies will compete for funding in tiers ranging from 50k to 200k."
