Seed stage

Digital wallet CoinTent raised a $1 million seed round from Foundry Group, QueensBridge Venture Partners, Mark Pincus, Donna Dubinsky, Leonard Shustek, and Andrew Tisch.

Onfleet, a delivery management solution, raised $2 million from investors including CrunchFund, Winklevoss Capital, Stanford-StartX Fund, Lee Linden, Semil Shah, Fadi Ghandour and Andy Rachleff.

Fashion e-commerce company Eat.Shop.Love raised $3.5 million in angel funding from an unnamed London-based investor. 

 

Honey, an enterprise social platform, raised a $1 million seed funding round from Point Nine Capital

Australian door-to-door parcel delivery startup Sendle raised $1.8 million in funding in a round led by NRMA.

Stringify, an Internet of Everything startup, raised $6.3 million in seed funding led by ARTIS Ventures along with OurCrowd and other private investors.

Dash Robotics, makers of hand-held, bio-inspired robots, raised $1.4 million in a round of seed funding led by IronFire Capital.

Headout, a last minute mobile marketplace for tours, activities, and experiences, raised a seed round of US$1.8 million from Kunal Bahl, Rohit Bansal, and Vishal Gondal.

Blank Label, which sells men’s clothing online and offline, raised $1.1 million from angel investors, including Drew Volpe, Mike Salguero, Art Papas, Roy Rodenstein and Jennifer Lum.

IMMUNIO, provider of real time protection for Web applications, raised $2.7 million in seed funding from Hoxton Ventures, Real Ventures, and Bloomberg Beta.

TrackTik, an integrated security operations management company, raised $1.5 million in seed financing, led by iNovia Capital and including Klass Capital.

 

Early stage

Genetic testing firm Color Genomics raised a $15 million round led by Khosla Ventures and Formation 8, along with Emmerson Collective, Cisco CTO Padmasree Warrior, Katie Stanton, Julia Hartz, Jerry Yang, Max Levchin, Drew Houston, Aaron Levie; and Ann Mather.

1MG, formerly Healthkart.com, a drug search business raised $6 million in round from Deep Kalra, Sequoia Capital, Omidyar Network, Intel Capital and Kae capital.

TradeGecko, a B2B e-commerce platform, raised $6.5 million from NSI Ventures and Jungle Ventures.

RadPad, a millennial focused mobile rental marketplace, raised $9 million in Series A funding led by Altpoint Ventures, with Goldcrest Investments participating.

Virtual infrastructure management company StrataCloud raised $3.4 million from Hallett Capital and BLH Venture Partners, along with numerous individual and institutional investors including Mosley Ventures and BIP Capital.

SiteZeus, a provider of site selection technology for brands, raised $2.2 million in funding from Chris Sullivan and  Baldwin Beach Capital.

Financial comparison startup CompareAsiaGroup raised a $40 million Series A led by Goldman Sachs Investment Partners, along with  Nova Founders Capital, Jardine Pacific, Ace & Company, Route 66 Ventures, Mark Pincus, and Owen Van Natta.

Deep Information Sciences, a provider of database science for Big Data, raised $8 million in a Series A round led by Sigma Prime Ventures and Stage 1 Ventures, along with AlphaPrime Ventures.

Food delivery startup Marley Spoon raised a $3.5 million Series A2 funding round from Lakestar.

Tal Medical, a clinical-stage medical device company, raised a $14 million round from PureTech, a new institutional investor, and several prominent individual investors.

untapt, an automated recruiting platform focused on financial services companies, raised a $3 million Series A round led by Tsai Capital Corporation and its affiliates, with participation from SenaHill Investment Group and other investors.

Campus Steps, a platform for helping students manage their college futures, raised $3 million from  Campus Explorer, OCA Ventures, Rincon Venture Partners and Vicente Capital.

Shots, a mobile app for sharing selfies, raised $8.5 million in a round led by WI Harper Group, along with MLB Major League Baseball Ventures, Rodney Jerkins, 500 Startups, Upfront Ventures and Launch Fund.

Brand advertising startup Knotch raised $4 million from Greylock, Allen & Co. and Stanford University, as well as individuals such as Tom Arrix and Michael Birch.

 

Late stage

Freshdesk, a provider of cloud-based customer support software, raised $50 million in a round led by Tiger Global, and joined by Accel Partners and Google Capital. 

Oscar, which connects customers with insurance providers, raised $145 million in a round was by Peter Thiel and Brian Singerman, with Li Ka-shing, the Wellington Management Company and Goldman Sachs also participating. 

Health insurance marketplace Gravie raised a $12.5 million Series B round led by Split Rock Partners, with Aberdare Ventures and FirstMark Capital also participating.

Appointment booking service MyTime raised a $9.25 million Series B led by Upfront Ventures and Khosla Ventures

Full Measure Education, a education communications platform, raised a $5.5 million Series B round led by Safeguard Scientifics, with participation from Bull City Venture Partners.

Sulekha
Local listings services provider Sulekha.com has raised Rs 175 crore funding from Singapore's sovereign wealth fund GIC and venture capital Norwest Venture Partners (NVP).

On-demand shipping service Shyp raised a $50 million Series B round led by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, along with Homebrew, Sherpa Ventures and independent investors like Kevin Rose and Jennifer Hyman, among others.

Poshmark, a community marketplace for fashion, raised $25 million from Mayfield, Menlo Ventures, Inventus Capital, Union Grove Venture Partners, Shea Ventures, and SoftTech VC.

ConXtech, a construction technology company, raised $25 million in a Series D round led by Saudi Aramco Energy Ventures and a venture fund associated with the George Kaiser Family Foundation.

OpenFin, a provider of HTML5 runtime technology for the financial industry, raised $3 millionin a round was co-led by Bain Capital Ventures, Pivot Investment Partners and Nyca Partners, with participation from 20 senior financial industry executives including Cris Conde and Tom Glocer.

High-frequency trading technology company Perseus raised $20.5 million from Goldman Sachs.

Gengo, a translation platform for global companies, raised $5.4 million in a Series C funding round led by Recruit of Japan, along with SBI Investments, MUFJ Capital and CrowdWorks.

Smule, a developer of music-making apps, raised $38 million in a round led by Adam Street Partners, with Bessemer Ventures, Shasta Ventures, and City National.

Funding Circle, an online marketplace for business lending, raised $150 million in a round led by DST Global, with participation from Baillie Gifford, a fund managed by BlackRock, Sands Capital Ventures and Temasek.

Simplilearn, an edtech company providing certification courses to professionals, raised $15 million in a Series C round led by Mayfair, with Kalaari Capital and Helion Venture Partners also participating.

Microsoft National Solution Provider New Signature raised a $35 million round of funding from Columbia Capital.

Peer-to-peer lending company Jimubox raised $84 million in Series C funding from Investec Bank, Haitong Kaiyuan Investment, Mandra Capital, Zhong Capital Fund, Matrix China Partners, Xiaomi, Shunwei, Ventech China, and Magic Stone Alternative.

Swirl Networks, a proximity-based indoor mobile marketing platform, raised $18 million from Hearst Ventures, SoftBank Capital, Twitter Ventures and Longworth Venture Partners.
