Tidemark, Synack, Fab, Albumatic, Datorama, Patreon, BioBeats all raised funds

Seed Stage

Local social network streetlife secured a £600,000 investment  from Archant Digital Ventures, and new financial investors Shohet & Cie S.A.

Social Tables, which brings sales and operations tools to hospitality professionals, closed an equity round of $1.6 million led by Militello Capital.

Gift-giving startup Jifiti closed $2.5 million in seed funding.from Simon Property Group, Schottenstein Stores Corp. and Jesselson Capital.

Socrative, a student response system aimed for K-12 classrooms, raised $750,000 in seed financing from True Ventures, NewSchools Ventures and a handful of angel investors including Jean Hammond and Eileen Rudden. 

LegalReach, a social network for attorneys, raised $900,000 from Scott Banister and Naval Ravikant. 

RUN, provider of mobile-focused programmatic ad technology, secured a $1.5 million investment from Verizon Ventures.

Synack, a startup that has created a system to safely crowdsource security testing, closed a $1.5 million seed round financing from Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Greylock Partners, Wing Venture Partners, Allegis Capital, and Derek Smith.

Patronage platform Patreon received $2.1 million in funding. Investors included SV Angel, Charles River Ventures, Freestyle Capital, Atlas Venture, Rothenberg Ventures and Alexis Ohanian.

BioBeats, a startup that converts vital signs into custom-tailored music, raised $650,000 in seed funding from actor Will Smith, music manager Scooter Braun, angel Kevin Colleran, and more.

Mobile discovery app 1Mind received $500,000 in seed funding from unnamed investors.


Early Stage

Chirpify, a platform for in-stream commerce on social media, raised an additional $4 million in Series A funding. The new funding came from Saturn Partners, Provenance Ventures, Idan Ravin, David Cohen, and others. They joined Voyager Capital, which invested  $2 million in the Series A in April.

Kiwi, a developer of games for the Android platform, raised $9 million in Series A funding. The round was led by Sequoia, with Charles Huang and SV Angels also participating.

Bottlenose, a web platform to organize social media streams, closed $3.6 million in Series A financing led by ff Venture Capital. Lerer Ventures, Transmedia and Advancit also participated.

Olapic, which showcases user generated images and videos into a company’s e-commerce experience, closed a $5 million Series A round of funding led by Fung Capital USA and Longworth Venture Partners, with participation from Great Oaks and Scout Ventures.

Mobile game studio Grand Cru closed a €8.5 million Series A funding round led by IDInvest Partner, along with Qualcomm Ventures  and Nokia Growth Partners.

Technical assessment platform provider TrueAbility closed a $2 million Series A round from Austin Ventures. Cloud Power Seed Fund 2013 also participated.

RebelMouse, which allows users to combine updates from across social networks, closed $10.25 million in Series A funding led by Oak Investment Partners, SoftBank, Sterling Investment Partners and Michael Lazerow.

Mobile mapping app CityMaps raised $1.5 million in Series A funding from A-Grade Investments, Steve Papa  and other angels.

Photo sharing app Albumatic raised a $4.2 million Series A round led by RRE Ventures, along with Thrive Capital, SV Angel, Highline Venture Partners, CrunchFund, Box Group, and Betaworks.

Real-time marketing channel Datorama secured $3 million in Series A funding from Cedar Fund and Innovation Endeavors.

 

Late Stage

Apigee, a provider of an API platform for companies, raised $35 million in new funding. The round was led by a fund managed by BlackRock with participation from Bay Partners, Focus Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners, SAP Ventures, Third Point Ventures and Accenture.

Personalized video advertising company EyeView raised $8.1 million in Series C funding from Marker, with participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Gemini Israel Funds, and Nauta Capital.

Flywheel, a ride-for-hire app that integrates into existing taxis and fleets, raised $14.8 million in Series B funding. The round was led by Craton Equity Partners, with participation from RockPort Capital and Shasta Ventures.

Credit underwriting and big data analysis platform ZestFinance raised $20 million in Series C funding from Peter Thiel, Northgate Capital, Matrix Partners, Kensington Capital Holdings, Eastward Capital Partners and Lightspeed Venture Partners.

Dropcam, makers of a Wi-Fi video monitoring camera with cloud recording service, raised $30 million in Series C funding led by Institutional Venture Partners (IVP), with Accel Partners, Menlo Ventures, and Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers participating.

Latto, a developer of a multiscreen video store platform, closed a $4 million dollar funding round from unnamed investors.

Rover.com, which connects dog owners with approved and reviewed dog sitters, closed $3.5 million in new funding, led by Petco. Madrona Venture Group, CrunchFund and Rolling Bay Ventures also participated.

Trōv, whose apps help people collect information about things they own, closed a Series B round of funding, bringing the company’s total capitalization to $6.8 million.

Mobile advertising company 4INFO raised $8 million in a round led by Vulcan Capital, along with Draper Fisher Jurveston, Gannet, Mezzanine Capital, and U.S. Venture Partners.

Superfish, a visual search solutions company, raised $10 million in Series D funding, led by Vintage Investment Partners with participation from Draper Fisher Jurvetson and Tamir Fishman Ventures.

Scoop.it, a social curation publishing hub, raised $2.6 million from Partech International, Elaia Partners, IXO Private Equity and Orkos Capital.

In-Memory Computing platform GridGain raised $10 million in Series B venture financing led by Almaz Capital, with participation from RTP Ventures.

Social media management company HootSuite raised  $165 million in Series B funding. The round was led by Insight Venture Partners, with participation from Accel Partners and OMERS Ventures.

Ticketbis, an exchange for buying and selling after-market tickets to events in Europe and South America, raised $4.5 million from previous investors, along with several company employees and two unnamed Spanish Business Angels.

Tidemark raised $13 million in Series D funding led by Tenaya Capital, with participation from Andreessen Horowitz,  Greylock Partners and  Redpoint Ventures.

Design website Fab raised a $10 million Series D round of financing from SingTel Group.
