Beats 2 other Startups to become The Most Useful Startup of the Month for Feb

This month, while we featured lesser number of Startups as compared to other months, partly because of the lesser number of days in this month, the competition between Startups for the title of the coveted,The Most Useful Startup of the Month was no less. Ultimately, it came down to 3 names - the Internalized Search Engine Greplin, the all-in-one communication website Threadsy, & Search App, Surfmark. In the end, Surfmark took top billing because compared to the other two, we felt, its utility for online users was much more.

Why we settled on this Startup was because the guys at Surfmark had decided to solve a simple problem that confronts millions of fellow Surfers - How to save & organize the results of an individual Netizen's Internet Search. The effort put in to Search for a topic on the Net can be re-utilized in 2 ways using Surfmark, (a) Refer back to the information once again at a later stage (b)...so that other surfers, too, can benefit from some one else's Search effort. Based in California, USA, Surfmark claims to allow a user to "recycle" his/her effort at Search. This Startup has several ways of doing so. It provides users a set of Browser-based Apps (i.e. Explorer, Firefox, etc), Desktop Apps & other hosted services. All 3 options have a single purpose - to save, organize & share that knowledge created as a "by-product" of an individual Netizen's Search effort. The easiest way for any user to do so is to use this Cloud-hosted website. The Surfmark website allows not only full-text Search but also the sharing of Content without the need for an account or the installation of any Apps or Browser extensions So, if you do not want your Search effort to go waste, find out what Surfmark is all about by clicking here.
