At Babson, we define entrepreneurship as a way of thinking and acting that is “opportunity obsessed.” This competition aims to showcase the nation’s best idea-seeking, opportunity-obsessed entrepreneurs – and help transform their ideas into realities.
This competition is limited to legal residents of the United States who are at least 21 years old. Each individual or team can submit only one idea. There is a registration fee of $75 per idea. How to win:
Each Finalist will receive a free trip to attend the Babson Forum on Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Babson’s premier annual student-run event, on October 2, 2008. The event includes keynote speeches, panels, and the Idea Expo. On October 2, each Finalist will make a 6-minute presentation to the judges, as well as to an audience of Forum participants.
Entries will be judged on the originality and practicality of the idea. Additionally, judges will be referring to the Opportunity Assessment Framework as their point of reference to determine a level of feasibility. Finally, the judges will be taking into account the amount of votes that each idea receives on the Vator.tv website, please market yourselves and get friends and family involved in making your idea become a reality!
