Who are we looking for this time? AlwaysOn and Vator are searching for the hottest private companies on the East Coast.
The prize is a chance to present at AlwaysOn's newest conference, called Venture Summit East 2008. The gathering will host 14 “Best of Breed CEO Showcases," and 36 other qualified
six-minute CEO pitches from companies seeking later-stage capital or
potential acquirers. One of the 14 CEOs will be chosen from the Vator community.
Noah
Gellman, director of business development for AO, will be leading the

What to submit:
Submissions
are in the form of a video pitch or PDF or PPT. But we really encourage
video so Vator can highlight and feature some of the pitches throughout
the duration of the contest.
How to submit:
It's quick, easy and free. Register
and hit "upload a pitch" and create a profile for your submission. The
more comprehensive, the more likely to get votes, ratings and be
reviewed.
How to win:
Vator
competitions
use the "wisdom of the crowds" approach to find true gems. At Vator,
we let the Vator community winnow down the selection process to the top
five. Those five will be chosen based on most votes, positive comments,
and highest ratings. Of those five, it's up to the final judges,
consisting of AO's editorial team, to determine who will present at the
conference.
If
AO does not choose the company recognized by the Vator community as the
clear winner, Vator will extend recognition to that company and name
the company winner selected by the Vator community.
So, get the
Vator community to help find those winners. These video pitches will be
public so the Vator community can help vet the deals. So, for those
pitching, encourage your friends or colleagues to comment and rate your
video pitches and/or to upload their own video pitch about why your
video pitch is the best. For those who don't want to share their secret
sauce, share what you can. But remember: Success is 2% idea, 98%
execution. In other words: Ideas are one thing, executing is everything.
