Business model
The Ziklag Business Model is to offer its solution under a service contract to customers. In the first phase, the company will set up the initial service centers in the Washington DC area to support U.S. Government clients, and in New York City to support the financial community. In the second phase, Ziklag will license its solution to national companies capable of implementing the Ziklag solution. This could include wireless carriers and trusted security companies such as McAfee or Norton. Ziklag is already working with a large wireless company. For U.S. Government clients Ziklag will work with companies with facility clearances that meet U.S. Defense Department security standards.
Competitive advantage
There are numerous offerings available seeking to solve this growing mobile threat opportunity (McAfee, Kaspersky Labs, Juniper, Echoworx, Fixmo, Odyssey Software, Check Point Software Technologies, Symantec, etc,. ). These providers have typical anti-virus and malware applications that identify viruses and malware after the attacks are discovered and try to remove the software from the device and also to block follow on attacks. Ziklag Systems is an innovating technology and methodology designed to completely purge spyphone and hacking bugs from mobile phones and tablets. The technology differs from antivirus and malware eradication programs and is a highly proprietary offering at this time. With an NDA we can explain how the technology removes both known and unknown threats on the device and assures a 100% “clean” phone without any loss of personal data or information while preserving all APPS (unless the APP is corrupted and is actually a spyphone or hacking bug). During the Ziklag “cleaning” process all personal data is backed up externally. As part of our operating and investment thesis the Ziklag team recognizes that sophisticated attacks on Smartphones and tablets are coming from professional malicious actors (whether they are corrupted insiders, foreign intelligence services, criminals, hactivists, or APT) to quickly steal and transfer sensitive data while remaining anonymous and hard to detect. These pervasive attacks represent a significant and growing threat to the nation’s prosperity and security. Therefore, it is our assumption that those forces targeting these mobile devices also know that the owner of the device may be taking precautions that include installed anti-virus or malware tools on the device. This gives the owner of the device a false sense of security as the attack is specifically designed to circumvent these tools. The abilityto purge unknown threats is a unique capability to Ziklag Systems and is vitally important for the security of communications and information on these devices.
