zAgile provides a comprehensive out of the box solution
on a low cost subscription basis. The company’s business model utilizes viral adoption in order to tap
into the global open source developer tool community and build the user base. A
trial version of the commercial license subscription is easy to
install with a 30 day free evaluation. A fully supported product offering is available
starting at $2,495 for a single server license (< 20 seats). Over time,
zAgile intends to up-sell its installed base with additional server and
application products as well as support for proprietary applications and tools
in typical environments.
zAgile unifies all applications within the software
delivery environment, with a unified portal, semantically enhanced search, full
collaboration, thorough knowledge discovery, methodology dissemination, and
dashboard level reporting for all
projects. Because of the breadth and depth of the offering, it’s difficult to
directly compare zAgile to other players in the market. Some clearly offer Application
Lifecycle Management (ALM) toolsets and suites. These are un-integrated, inflexible offerings
that don’t solve customer problems. Others are better understood as Lifecycle stage
tools. These are the components that are integrated into the zAgile portal.
Thus, the competitive segments we’ve chosen to compare are not direct
competitors, merely players in a similar market, many of which are go-forward
partner targets for integration of their toolsets into the zAgile offering.
