Company description
StringHub is a web based application that connects college and university student class projects with real world applications. So for example, a professor might assign a 3 minute video project. So you might go back to your dorm, recruit a couple of your buddies, and create an awesome 3 minute video on how to get a date at your school. You turn the video project in, get an A and that is it. The video is now worthless.
We think that there are businesses everywhere that would love to have a 3 minute promotional video created for their company or their new product or service.
So StringHub is simply a tool to help colleges and universities match their class projects with the student, faculty, and local entrepreneurs who would benefit most from these projects.
If you would like to learn more, or if you have any comments or suggestions for us at all I would love to hear from you via email at [email protected]
Team
Adam Hoeksema has a background in business incubation where he had the opportunity to see the difficulties that entrepreneurs face. Adam also worked closely with university student teams who tried to help incubator clients. He noticed that student teams might learn something from working with entrepreneurs; however, the entrepreneur rarely gains anything of value from the student team. Typically student teams provide a report with suggestions of strategies for the entrepreneur to implement. In reality the students would learn more by actually implementing the strategies for the entrepreneur, and the entrepreneur would benefit as well.
Brandon Hoeksema is the technical co founder of StringHub and has experience with PHP, CSS, HTML, and MYSQL. He brings Adam back down to earth and helps implement his crazy ideas.
