Competitive advantage
Spawnd faces an array of competitors that have already paved the way of Social Networking for gaming; however, there has not been a company that offers the unique aspects of charity and simplicity Spawnd aims to achieve. The user interface of Spawnd features a unique collaboration of appealing tools that are as functional as they are visually striking for the user. The intended market Spawnd is trying to capture is moderate gamers as well as hardcore gamers. Through the target market, we have understood that a well-developed user interface must be designed that can cater to both types of users. Other website companies, such as Raptr and Ugame, feature a user interface that is much too complicated for an average user to use easily without familiarity. The user interface of Spawnd will be something that is simple and users of any age will be able to jump on and operate.
Spawnd’s unique user interface differentiates itself from the competition, however, what really sets Spawnd apart is the main driving force behind the site. Having the ability to donate money to charities, by simply playing video games, sets it apart from the many social networking video game websites. Spawnd gives a user the ability to track his/her progress and achievements in the games he/she is playing on various platforms such as Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, or Nintendo Wii and convert them into Spawnd points. The user will then have the ability to convert those Spawnd Points into real currency and donate them to the charity of the user’s choosing. The money that is accumulated from various different corporations gives them good branding and a philanthropic edge, users won’t have to feel bad about wasting their time playing video games, and the charities will be raising more and more money to help those in need. In conclusion, every party that is involved in Spawnd leaves happy and is contributing to the betterment of the world. Spawnd is not just a social networking website, but a hub where the strength of video game players for all level of skill can collaborate to help make the world a better place. Through the donation aspects and video game networking, users will be able to connect on a more personal basis. Spawnd will be a revolutionary system of networking, donating, connecting, and having fun.
