SocialMesh is an intelligent location based mobile social relationship manager, which allows its users to humanizes their online social interactions across multiple platforms in the real offline world by allowing its users to Benefit From Personalized Highly-Targeted Socially Filterable Communication amongst there contacts.
The fundamental mission of SocialMesh is to help people achieve vastly higher quality, more personalized interactions within their existing professional networks and personal “social circles”. A true Geo-Social Relationship Manager, not a social network itself, SocialMesh effortlessly aggregates your contacts from every social network you use to help you facilitate geo-socially targeted communication.
This communication via SocialMesh occurs within a user-defined geographic proximity, using optional social filters. Because SocialMesh deeply integrates with numerous social networks, utilizing them as modern-day “social phone books”, individuals will also gain access to their contacts with similar interests through the social graph. SocialMesh users will be able to customize their profiles with location preferences, calendars, events, as well as set geo-social network alerts. Users can merge some or all of their contacts, can sort them geographically, socially, or view them on a map or list. Recipient contacts are not required to have the application previously installed on their smart phone or mobile device to receive communication
Joel Yeghen Founder / Chief Executive Officer
SocialMesh was conceived by Joel Yeghen, a New York entrepreneur and strategic sales executive with expertise in new business and strategic partnership development. In his formative years, he's always had one goal in mind, to create a software platform that would one day change how people would interact with each other, either personally or from a business commerce perspective. Joel's talents drove his successes and education in other professional endeavors - he has worked at Sterling Info Systems, LexisNexis, Verifications, Inc, and YCS, all in New York City where he served as Area Vice President of Sales and Business Development. He has proven expertise in managing client relationships, product development, strategic alliances, cross-functional teams, and leading new product launches / implementations, and he has consulted and created some of the most complex solutions in the Human Capital sector for many fortune 500 companies. Partners include EMC Corporation, Wal-Mart, British Petroleum, State Street Bank, Target, Publicis Group, BMC Software, Microsoft, Ceridian, Federated Department Stores, and Cannon. Joel received his BA from Rutgers University with a major in sociology and a minor in business. Joel is the son of Joseph N. Yeghen, who was one of the founding fathers of the EDI Standard (Electronic Data Interchange), for the wholesale and mass retail verticals. Joel grew up surrounded by technology enthusiasts and entrepreneurs alike.
Jordan Edelson Co-Founder
Jordan is the Chief Technology Officer at SocialMesh he is a seasoned and dynamic serial entrepreneur. Jordan has started multiple companies since he was in High School, such as Game Broadcasting Live, a digital streaming video game broadcasting channel that premiered on Time Square's Jumbotron screens, and eSportsTV, a portal for streaming live electronic sports and professional video gaming broadcasts. Jordan also served as Chief Technology Officer of H3 Enterprises Inc.; the first publicly traded Hip-Hop Company which created technology infused Hip Hop themed restaurants. He's made features in Popular Science Magazine, Business Review, Biz Journal, MSNBC.com, WABC-TV, World News Now( ABC), Discovery Channel, WRGB-TV (CBS), CNBC, along with other radio, print, web and television spots. Jordan's company, Appetizer Mobile, is a fast growing and internationally recognized Mobile Application Development company. Appetizer Mobile has been featured on Apple's National iPad commercial "iPad is Electric" for Montessorium's "Intro to Letters" Learning application. The featured application made the #1 selling educational application on the Apple ITunes store. Clients include the NBA, Kim Kardashian, Sephora Beauty Stores, Interscope Records, Montessorium, Del Frisco's and Sullivan's Steakhouse, Steinway & Sons Pianos, 50 Cent the Recording Artist, Lady Gaga and more. Jordan graduated from The University at Albany with a B.A. in communications and minor in business and sociology.
Brandon Ward President
Brandon leads the strategic product vision development effort as well as strategic operations for SocialMesh. Prior to joining the company, he was a product and strategy advisor to artificial intelligence software development firm Subjex Corporation, and Groupenture.com, the first global group-buying social marketplace for Adventure Travel. Brandon also co-developed and launched Penny20.com, the first ever "Hidden Limit" auction on the web. Prior to that, he spent nearly five years at Verifications, Inc. as their Director of Business Development. In this role, he oversaw and developed various high-profile client acquisitions in the talent on-boarding software-as-a-service space. Earliest in his career, Brandon held various business development roles at Circata Corporation, which at the time in 2001 was a pioneer in the development of mobile commerce applications and delivering content from any source to any mobile Internet-enabled device. Circata developed and deployed the first ever mobile website for Gannett and their NBC affiliate property KARE11 in the Minneapolis / St. Paul market. Business and entrepreneurship run deep in Brandon's family. The late Harlan R. Ward founded National Computer Systems (NCS) in 1962, which was ultimately acquired by UK-based Pearson Education in 2000 for $2.5 billion. When Brandon is not working on SocialMesh, he can be found running, composing classical and pop music, and learning Korean.
Amber Osborne Chief Evangelist
Amber Osborne is Chief Evangelist at SocialMesh, leading the charge of spreading the word about the company and product through all social channels. A leading influencer in all things social media with a Twitter following approaching 20,000, Amber is the creative spark behind some of the most engaging, unforgettable brands and online personalities and was a co-creator of the internationally recognized social media event "Foursquare Day". Amber currently holds the position of Vice President of Online Brand Development at HOL Media in Tampa, FL, and has been featured on Mashable, St. Pete Times, ABCnews, CNN Headline News, Search Engine Journal and Fast Company Online. Recently she was a panelist at SXSW 2011, a Semi-Finalist in AOL's Lifestream Ambassador competition and was voted Creative Loafing's "Best of The Bay 2010" Best Tampa Twitter Personality.
Andrew Pancer Board Member
Andrew is Chief Operating Officer of Media6Degrees, the inventors of Social Targeting. He joined the company in 2008 and helped bring the company to market. During his tenure Media6Degrees has seen dramatic growth and has raised 28M in funding from several top tier venture capital firms. Andrew oversees the day to day operations of the company including business development, finance, client services and media operations. Prior to Media6Degrees Andrew spent a number of years in senior positions at several leading Internet and media companies. Most recently, he was the Vice President, Digital Development at the New York Times where he helped lead digital initiatives including setting investment strategy, directing M&A and integrating new acquisitions. Andrew was the COO of About.com from 2005 to 2007, where he helped drive significant growth for the company. Revenues and profits tripled, with revenues exceeding $100 million in 2007. Prior to his role as COO, Andrew was About.com's Chief Financial Officer from 2002 to 2004. A resident of Glen Rock, NJ, Mr. Pancer holds a BS in Business Administration from Washington University (St. Louis) and an MBA from New York University's Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
