Silicon Valley network intelligence is used to safely transport people as efficiently as packets on a network. The inventor, Robert Catalan is an ex-Cisco Systems network engineer. We provide controlled access, pre-qualified egress, and automatically-coordinated, non-strenuous evacuations. SmartChute is completely concealed when not in use, so it does not detract from a building's external aesthetics. Our Company is based in Washington DC and San Diego CA.

Skyscraper Evacuation Systems Inc. was founded by four unique individuals: Francisco Valeriano is V.P. for Business Development and CFO. (francisco@skyscraperevac.com) Francisco is currently a financial advisor at the Washington Group. He was formerly vice president and head of Prudential’s Strategy and Business Development for the U.S. Consumer Group. He also served as vice president, Global Financial Services at Mercer Management Consulting; senior vice president for Strategy, Product Development and Marketing at Chase Global Investor Services; and held senior positions with Andersen Consulting and with Citibank. Gary Vias is President and CEO. (gary@skyscraperevac.com) Gary is a Commander in the Medical Service Corps of the U.S. Navy and has served more than 29 years in various capacities and responsibilities. Gary is currently the Deputy Director of Research Services (serving his last few months in the Navy) at the Naval Medical Research Center in Silver Spring, Maryland. Mil Arcega is Chief Communications Officer. (mil@skyscraperevac.com) Mil is a veteran journalist with 20 years of experience in print, radio and television. He is currently the Business Correspondent for the English Language Services at Voice of America. Prior to that, he was an anchorman and reporter at NBC4, the highest rated television station in Washington DC. Robert Catalan is CTO and Chairman. (robert@skyscraperevac.com) The inventor of the patented "SmartChute” system, Robert worked for Cisco Systems as a network engineer. He was also the Executive Director of the University of Santo Tomas Computer Center in Manila. Robert is a member of the NFPA Building Safety Systems section and ASTM International Subcommittee E06.77, which is tasked to create standards for high-rise building external evacuation devices.
