Physically the SkioCard is introduced like a ticket in plastic material similar in all and for all to a credit card. The selling price to the public of the SkioCard will be fixed with a percentage of 10% of margin regarding the nominal value in order to cover the fixed costs beyond to the profit of the retailer of the SkioCard. Naturally, like for the credit cards, the vendor who will use the new system of payment will recognize to the Skio a percentage on the value of every transaction carried out with the fixed minimal amount that would have to cover the costs of the transfer of the money and the shipment of regulating invoice. I use of the SkioCard in a transaction, obligates the purchaser to visualize a mask generated from the serveur of the Skio for the communication and the control of the codes; in this phase, a part of the space can usefully be used with the visualization of a series of banner advertizing to spin. After all the new system of SkioCard payment has all the characteristics in order to become the most diffuse system than payment in the Web and could easy be extended, in a near future, to whichever transaction trades them to prescind from the used telephone, mass media (directed, email, mail, etc).

    Sex sells, but not always - my rudimentary Italian tells me that this is about a pre-paid universal shopping card with a security code to protect user transactions online. Well, the idea isn't new and the concept of pre-payment sure limits acceptance rates. The only true benefit is the anonymity offered by such mechanisms but it remains to be seen how many people are willing to pay for such a service. More importantly, these questions will make it difficult to get online vendors to sign up for acceptance of this card. Someone's gotta pay, and if it's not the end user then I'd like to hear about the business model.
