James Siminoff Founder & CEO James founded SimulScribe with the intention of solving a major problem in mobile communication, voicemail. James believed that current voicemail functionality was archaic, causing him and his business partners frustration within their mobile business lives. James was working with voice recognition technologies when he discovered that his voicemail annoyances were potentially avoidable. In 2003, he began to develop a voicemail-to-text technology to solve the dilemma. With the invent of SimulScribe, voicemail instantly met pace with mobile communication advancements and eliminated his frustrations. James has always fostered an entrepreneurial spirit. His career started in 1998 when he founded Your First Step International, Inc., which assisted entrepreneurs in bringing ideas from concept to fruition. In 2000, the company transitioned its main focus to building a global wholesale Voiceover IP network. The Voiceover IP network merged with Nobel Ltd. in early 2002. James holds a Bachelor of Science in entrepreneurship from Babson College.
Mark Dillon Founder & CTO Mark joined the SimulScribe team in 2003. As Chief Technology Officer, he is solely responsible for the development of all computing systems and software. Prior to joining SimulScribe, Mark worked for SCME Mortgage Bankers in San Diego, California, here he served as the lead software engineer and was responsible for developing the company's mission critical document imaging system. Mark has also served as a senior software engineer for CMGI Solutions, S1 Corporation and IntraLinks in Boston, Massachusetts. Most recently, he architected and implemented one of the most competitive document management systems on the market. Mark has ten years of industry experience and is skilled in a wide variety of programming languages and computing platforms. Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts in computer science from the University of Guelph.
Tony Wesley CFO Tony Wesley is a highly experienced senior executive who has led finance departments for a number of organizations over a range of industries. Tony oversees all SimulScribe’s financial functions including: financial planning, reporting, revenues, costs and capital expenditures. Prior to joining SimulScribe, Tony served as Treasurer, then CFO, then COO of Dana Perfumes Corporation, an international manufacturer and marketer of classic fragrances and cosmetics. He is the founding shareholder of Wright, Wesley, Mills PC, a mid-market public accounting firm. Tony is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
Michael Green COO Michael is responsible for developing strategic relationships with global partners as well as the Company’s overall distribution strategy and revenue plan. Throughout his career, Michael has directed sales and business development teams responsible for providing high-availability, high-performance mobile solutions in mission-critical business environments. As a pioneer in the field of wireless email, Internet and business applications with over 18 years experience in the mobile services industries; Michael possesses a wealth of execution experience, operational and leadership skills. Most recently, Michael was the Vice President of Strategic Alliances for Motorola Good Technology Group. He also served as the Vice President of Carrier Sales, and Vice President of Sales for Good Technology, Inc. Prior to joining Good Technology, Inc., Michael founded W. S Communications which successfully launched the Blackberry solution for RIM in the U.S. with major deployments at Merrill Lynch and Citibank.
David Gerzof Chief Marketing Officer David is responsible for SimulScribe’s marketing, positioning and outreach in the consumer, enterprise and carrier markets. Over the past 12 years David has served as an independent marketing consultant, successfully guiding numerous tech and telecom companies through their marketing challenges. David served as the Director of Corporate Communications for Cignal Global Communications, a global IP voice and data carrier. While there, he was responsible for all marketing programs and external communication including: media relations, web-based communications, marketing collateral, and brand positioning. In addition to serving as CMO at SimulScribe, he is a professor of marketing and media relations at Emerson College. David holds a Master of Arts in integrated marketing communication from Emerson College and a Bachelor of Arts in psychology from Boston University. T
William Scholz, Ph.D. VP of Voice Recognition Architecture William Scholz, Ph.D., is a thought leader in speech-related applications and has been recognized as one of the top ten experts in speech technology by Speech Technology magazine. He has over 30 years of experience in cognitive science, computer-aided instruction, expert systems, advance software development and speech/natural language processing. He is a frequent industry speaker and has authored numerous publications. He has worked extensively with domestic and international organizations in architectural design, speech technologies, knowledge-based systems and integration strategies. Dr. Scholz's focuses are integration strategy; software architecture; speech application development and methodology; service creation environments; and technology assessments.
Michael Kaplan VP of Products & Technology Michael oversees SimulScribe’s product development, carrier and enterprise integration teams, carrier technology collaboration, technical infrastructure and planning and service platform optimization. With over a decade of experience in mobile computing, Michael specializes in creating rapid, turnkey mobile solutions that deliver a solid, consistent user experience. He has worked in several successful mobile and network providers with a focus on delivering compelling products to enterprise customers. Most recently, Michael was the was the Global Director of Solution Engineering for Motorola – Good Technology, Inc., where he designed the carrier training programs and was the lead technical liaison between carriers and the sales and product development teams. Michael is a two-time recipient of The Good Leadership Award, the top honor granted to an individual in each of the major divisions within Good Technology, Inc.
John Minor VP of Products & Services John is responsible for SimulScribe's product planning, sourcing, service operations and customer support. He is a customer focused technologist, who brings compelling services to SimulScribe’s fast-growing consumer base. John has excelled in aggressive enterprise focused technology organizations by constantly delivering new, enabling mobile technologies that improve client productivity. For the past six years, John managed both the international technical team and escalation engineering group at Good Technology, Inc. As a disciplined leader that has inspired excellence and achieved consistent success, John was the recipient of The Good Leadership award two consecutive years. At Good technology, John used creative problem solving to forge critical relationships across business enterprises, cultures and hierarchies while demonstrating the ability to build innovative, highly-focused and energized teams.
