Science Fiction Movie: Destiny

Destiny is a science fiction movie about the future of humanity. It's an epic, similar in scope to 2001: A Space Odyssey. So far, I've created an illustrated movie pitchbook and a 20-minute video of the idea. The next stage is to find producers who like the idea and would like to take it to the next level of development - most likely a screenplay. Based on the success of indie movies like Postcards from the Future, I'm convinced that Destiny could be made for a modest budget and would do well in the theaters. Hi Jason,

Thanks for your comment! It's pretty consistent with the other comments I've received recently. Perhaps it could be made a 2-part or 3-part movie? Anyhow, another approach would be for me to release it in Manga form in the meantime. Another possibility is low cost machinima production (along the lines of Bloodspell). The good news is everyone seems to like the plot!

Your Project is most ambitious! and I applaud that, But because of its epic nature and its long narrative it feels as is it would work better as a 3 to 6 hour mini series for television not as a 2-3 hour feature film. Judging by your sketches of the scenes your budget will not be a cheap one. Your budget looks more like 150 million plus will be needed to fully realize your vision, perhaps if you write a novel version of "Destiny" meaning book form, for example a trilogy of books on the subject such as the works of Issac Asimov or Ray Bradbury and this way you may be able to gain interest in the project if its a sucessful book there may be a market for it in this format.
