Mixmonsta has created a real-time interactive flash based widget mediaplayer “The Monstaplayer” that is at the cutting edge of user generated content (UGC) that allows users to search for, play, remix, mash, dj, share, and send to phone web based video content. Users spend an average of 40 minutes on the Monstaplayer viewing videos and playing with the various interactive features. Users can embed their mixes, videos, playlist as a widget on any social community, comment area, blog or forum. The widget allows the user to access their mixmonsta profile, mixes, and videos from any embed location as well as allows new users to register to the Mixmonsta community.
Still in BETA the Mixmonsta community has grown to over 39,000 registered users and over 5 million video views of UGC. By early 2008 year the mediaplayer will be operating on the open social platform as a fully interactive widget that will allow users to add it to any open social compatible platform. The company has several large media and record label partners and will be rolling out on several web 2.0 sites early in 2008 that will include the Monstaplayer widget.
Users can create their own channels and playlists that include their own mixes, mixes that friends have made, or any that they find in the community. Coming early next year are integrated contests as well as user and community channels. Mixmonsta wants its users to have their own channel that they can then share with anyone else. Its the ultimate in UGC and can be shared on the web, on the phone, and ultimately in the home .
