  I always liked the idea of a central synchronization point for contact information, not just across multiple devices but -more importantly- between the people identified by the contact information. Plaxo offers a fantastic solution to this age-old problem. There are, however, two snags that cannot be ignored: (1) I am a vehement opponent of engineers hiding forever behind the alpha/beta labels, and Plaxo has been a worse offender in that regard than Google. Finally commit to the quality of your product, stand up for it, and support it! (2) Other contact managers now offer competitive pizzazz, just to name LinkedIn, so maybe it's time for Plaxo to begin offering value-added features.
